Introducing the Weekly Rocket Resource ?
If you’re signed up to our weekly newsletter, you’ll know that we feature a “Weekly Rocket Resource”. Well, we’re now bringing that to the outside world.
Let me tell you how this all came about…
If any of you remember, on our old website, you know, the tacky, glitchy and quite frankly, amateur site that we launched with? Well if you don’t remember then that’s fine because it’s just a distant memory that we want to forget.
On the old site, we had a dedicated page just for the recommended resources that we use on a daily basis that help us get our job done. We also ask the guests on our show, what resources they use that they can recommend, and this was great!
Every time we put a new resource on the page, it kept on growing and growing and growing. Until the whole thing got completely out of hand, oh how I wish I had a screenshot for you.
Well now, we’ve decided that once a week we are going to be posting a new recommended rocket resource provided by us, our guests on the podcast or just recommended by word of mouth.
We’re going to try to make these resources the most affordable tools that you can find on the web. We know that as startups and aspiring entrepreneurs you’re probably going to be on a budget, right?
WE KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!
We’re looking forward to writing detailed reviews about the resources that we believe will benefit our readers, listeners and general audience.
Oh, and before I forget to mention, we wrote about a lot of resources that future readers would have missed out on, especially if you’re not part of our mailing list.
I just wanted this post to be about the launch of this new blog topic because next week we’re going to releasing the first detailed post about the recommended rocket resources.
What resources are we going to be recommending?
It’s quite simply actually.
Each week on our podcast within the Rocket Round we ask our guest…
“Are there any tools or resources that you use every day that help you get your job done?”
They then give us their answer, we put this in our show notes and BAM! the world knows the resource.
‘Isn’t this enough?’ you ask.
Well, it probably is, for the average podcaster, but we wanted to take this to the next level and write what we think about the recommended resource.
Because we are in your shoes, we have $200 a month to spend on this; that has to cover the following:
- Podcast hosting
- Podcast Editor
- Google for Business
- Snappa (Graphic Design Tool)
- Schedule App
- And a Lil bit of extra change to spend on other pieces.
At the end of the day, it’s incredible how quickly that money goes.
We’re all lucky that the majority of online tools out there today allow you to have a ‘Free Trial‘ before signing up to the paid thing.
So that’s what we do, we test them, we make sure that they are of some value to any new startup and aspiring entrepreneur and then we write about them.
See, I told you it was simple.
That’s all folks! I didn’t want to ramble on about this too much because the real stuff is going to be coming soon.
Oh, before I go, if there are any tools or resources that you use, and would like us to write about them, feel free to comment below and we’ll do just that.
